Miami, Ok to Brainerd, Mn

I had a View for 3,000 miles and now find myself with a 60,000 lb, 45ft Motorhome. I am going from Miami, Ok to Brianerd, Mn and I 35 seems to be the route but RV Trip Wizard takes me all around that, while Garmin takes me on I35, what gives? How do I find rest stops for planning? Thank you

I didn't look at your trip but I would think the 60,000 lbs might be a problem. Google thinks that you are a car and routing you as a car. You also need to have RV Routing turned on. I would play with the weight. Also double-check your specs. That your height is 13' 6" not 136', length is reasonable and try a different weight as a test. When you were weighed if you were really 60,000 lbs. it would seem to me you are overweight, or close. Again check your specs.

I just did Google and it gave I-35 as 746 miles and has tolls and I-29 781 miles.

Perhaps Trip Wizard didn't want to put you on a highway with tolls.

There's certainly not much difference in mileage.

Will we be seeing you at the Superbike races at BIR????

For sure you will want to go up 35, then go west on 494 when you get to the twin cities. This will route you up to the northwest corner of town where you will pick up 94 (lots of road construction here so plan accordingly) and run that north to the west side of st cloud where you will pick up 15 going north. 15 will merge with 10 and follow that to 371 until you get off at your destination or 371 business which will take you into Brainerd.

There are lots of rest areas and in Iowa just before the MN border is diamond joes casino and a rest area to over-night.

Good luck!
