Myrtle Beach to Asheville, to Massachusetts
Hello all! We are going to explore the Asheville area on our way home from Myrtle Beach, just a quick tour - but wanted to check on people's thoughts of going up from Asheville via 26 to 81north to back home. How bad are the mountains? Or are we skirting around them? I'm looking forward to seeing the Asheville area. DH isn't quite looking forward to the drive, but Oh well! Any comments/suggestions/overnight stop suggestions welcomed!

You will have a bit of a climb on I-26 south of Hendersonville (NC) and again from Mars Hill into TN, but it shouldn't be an issue for you at all. There's a lot to see and do in the Asheville area and I highly recommend it. Thanks for visiting NC!
