If your main thing is to get to Nashville within a week leave little time to sightsee.

With that being said, if you like the old west stuff Dodge City Kansas is a good place to visit. I have to put in stopping at my home city of Branson MO, most of this places will require more time than just a day.

Good Luck in you planning

You can stop in Memphis to see Graceland (stay at Tom Sawyer park in West Memphis, AR.)

You can always hit up Huntsville, TN and see some space memorabilia. I think they closed the RV park there, so no idea where to stay.

we'll be hitting up Dodge City, Wichita, this spring so those get our votes too

or.. take that long, horrible I-70 ride to St Louis and see the arch, Pappy's BBQ, the cathedral there and grab a riverboat cruise (which can also be done in Memphis).
