OK, well. We have driven from Massachusetts to Indiana and back many times. Most times through Up State NY on I-90 and twice through PA. Highways in PA are terrible. Zip up through Ohio and get on I 90 to Niagara Falls.

Next stop, may the finger lakes (I know, you’re not in New England yet but you are driving right by them.

Take I-90 into Massachusetts and from there you can go into Vermont up I-91. Or you could go south to CT. Better yet, keep going east and visit Cape Cod. Atlantic Oaks is a great campground on the outer cape and close to the National seashore

On your way to the cape, stay at Normandy Farms in Foxboro, MA. For a few days, but try for weekdays as the weekends are booked a year out. That will give you a chance to see Gillette Stadium, home of the world champions that you may have heard of in Indiana. From Normandy, you can get to Boston in about an hour by car if you want to see any sites in the city

Then after the cape, head North to NH and ME. Plenty to see and do up there.
