NM Hwy 90 from Lordsburg to Silver City

Just wondering how this road is for a 34' class A pulling a toad. Looks quite a bit shorter coming from the west than taking I-10 down to Deming then US180 to Silver City.

An easy drive

The road is excellent and an easy drive, and considerably quicker than going to Deming and then taking US 180.

There is essentially a gradual rise the entire way from Lordsburg (roughly 4000 feet elevation) to Silver City (roughly 6000 feet elevation). There are one or two stretches that have a long pull to make, but it isn't particularly steep like many other mountain passes.

We used to live in Silver City, and routinely drove our 40' motorhome towing both directions when traveling to Arizona.

The distance is short but there isn't much of anyplace to stop along the way worthy of note. We could usually make the drive in under an hour without any difficulties.

Best of luck and enjoy NM !!
