No problem. A few bridges, well marked, with low clearance in the extreme right lane, in the northern stretch.

Bar Harbor this time of the year? We live approx 2 hrs. from BH and couldn't escape quick enough to get of the snow/cold and head for the Keys.

No not this time of the year. We begin our work kamping assignment May 1 at Narrows II.
If I lived in Maine I too would head for the Keys, enjoy the sun

Buses travel the GSP all the time. Only restriction is commercial trucks.
Toll booths are a little tight so your best best is going to the right most lane so you only have a booth on one side.

I'm bookmarking this for next July. We're heading to Bar Harbor from San Antonio with a stop in Charlottesville, VA. I give up when looking at routes north of DC.

From Charlottesville take I-64W to I-81N to Scranton PA, then I-84E through Connecticut to the Mass Pike, I-90E to I-495 to I-95N.
Easy peasy.

Thank you. That's what I came up with also. I guess I was trying to stay too far away from Boston traffic.

To avoid Hartford entirely, from I-84E take I-691E to Meriden then I-91N towards Hartford. Just before you hit Hartford there is an exit for CT 15N/I-84E that will connect you back up with I-84 just east of Hartford.

If you want to avoid Boston and you have some extra time, I'd head north and check out the Green Mountains of Vermont, then meander east through the White Mountains in New Hampshire and on into Maine. You'd be off the interstates but there are plenty of good state roads to use and the scenery is great!

We did that coming back a few years ago. Thank you, I forgot about that. If we stay on the US side going to Chicago we will meander through there. Great idea

Love Narrows II, we always reserve a site in the 300's overlooking the ocean with privacy on both sides.
Unfortunately after a failed back surgery we're selling our '15 Entegra already.

It is also illegal to take anything bigger then a passenger car on it.
