Oklahoma City to Oak Grove AR

We’re in Oklahoma City and heading to Ozark Luxury Resort in Oak Grove AR. Talking with a guy here and he said add 30 minutes and 30 miles and head to Springfield MO then due south to Oak Grove. He said I’d eliminate a lot of two lane winding roads.
Any thoughts or comments.

Isolated resort

We traveled to this resort last fall from Omaha. I would take 44 to Springfield then US 65 south to around 8-10 miles south of Branson. Turn back west on Mo 86 near Big Cedar Lodge and follow to Blue Eye, Arkansas, winding and hilly but doable. The resort is east of Blue Eye off a county road. We really enjoyed it but go to the grocery store before you get there. Good luck.

Lot's of options on getting from A to B. We used to live outside of Tulsa and traveled into Arkansas regularly.

An option is taking 412 out of Tulsa to Springdale AR it's a very good road, but past Springdale it turns into a subpar 2 lane road. It might be worth looking into the Crystal Bridges near Springdale it is a magnificent attraction.

When we travel to Missouri we spend the night at the Down Stream Casino in the very NE corner of Oklahoma.

If you're in a hurry go to Springfield and take 65 down it's a nice divided road.

I'd also suggest taking the Creek Turnpike around the bottom of Tulsa. 44 thru Tulsa was a horrible piece of road a couple of years ago.

44 through Tulsa is usually a piece of cake unless it’s rush hour. HOWEVER, right now there is extensive road construction going on at the Arkansas river bridge. Taking the Creek Turnpike is an excellent option. If you don’t want to pay the toll then you can take 244 which takes you around the north side of downtown. It’s a good road, but there is a lot of lane changing to keep on track.

Thanks all. Followed the advice and it worked out well. Nice resort but it is pretty remote.
