Oklahoma Tolls- Tulsa area
Just wondering if anyone has used the toll roads around Tulsa? Specifically from Tulsa to Muskogee. What is the cost? Or is it variable like in Charlotte?
Is there a way around Tulsa? We prefer side roads where we can but don't want to end up downtown.

TurnerP it would really help if you would give at least a bit of the route to help us out.
First off the roads in Oklahoma suck and the toll roads suck less. Taking I-44 through the middle of Tulsa really sucks.
Every time we go through Tulsa we take the Creek Turnpike around the bottom of Tulsa.
We live in DFW and frequently go through Oklahoma if we are going to someplace in MO. we always go to OKC then around the bottom of Tulsa.
We don't care for 69 from Durant to Big Cabin.

It costs me $1.65 every time I go to Tulsa on the Muskogee Turnpike. That is for 2 axles. I'm not exactly sure what 4 axles cost but I think it is around $4. There is no good alternative route in my opinion. You could exit off the Broken Arrow Expressway in Tulsa on to Hwy 51 to Coweta and stay on it to Wagoner and then take US 69 south to Muskogee but 69 can be a little bone jarring especially in an rv.

I am not sure about that road but some toll roads on Oklahoma require coins only so have some quarters.

The Muskogee Turnpike will have toll booth attendants.
