Phoenix Work-Around

Sadly, we’ll be leaving the Coachella Valley tomorrow to head back to the East Coast. The time I’ll be leaving points to a 4:30-5:00pm arrival in Phoenix.
Been there-Done that. Rather not do it again.....
So is it worth taking 85 to I-8 to I-10 as a time/aggravation saver?
Thanks -Ron

yes.... AND, its not out of the way.. Pay close attention when you get to Gila Bend. I think you will turn left on the overpass just as you'r coming into Gila Bend.

OH YAH - Watch your speed as you come into Gila bend. Its a speed trap.. I think it drops down to 55, then 45.. near the airport.

The route is the very best if you want to avoid some of Phoenix. You'll still have some traffic but not nearly as much.

I've done that 85 to 8 several times, well worth it especially now with the road work west of Phoenix.

We just finished the 85 bypass! Barely any traffic on it or I-8. Great help, everyone!
