Rawlins, WY to Montrose, CO

can anyone give me some insight on the route from rawlins to montrose? any long, steep grades?- thanks

Hi,

See this MAP.

This is probably the most direct route. There are no significant grades on the route. However there is construction that will cause delays. The road isn't closed but you may have to wait for a pilot car. See this link Road Work. Select the filter for CO13 to see road work in Colorado on Colorado Highway 13.

I am a Wyoming native and live in Colorado. Mostly good road but some of the route is old and tired pavement.

The route Yeloduster gave above is good... no elevation issues.

I agree.... get the 'Mountain Directory for Truckers and RVers'. It was our bible when planning trips.
