Best route lloks like 95. any issues? weather concerns etc.? how about boondocking/parking on the way? TANDD

Hell, fellow west Washingtonian! We have done the Reno to Vegas on 95 and basically did it in one day. It is DESOLATE! But, no problems. Be aware of your gas tank. We have also done the 395 to the 15. If you have the time, this is really nice as well.

I travel between Carson City and Tucson through Las Vegas every year and use Hwy 95. Watch the weather in Tonopah, NV. It's about 6,100 feet and can get snow in April. It also can get very windy without warning so keep both hands on the steering wheel.

I don't have any info on boondocking as we use one of the $25.00 per night parks.

I drive it all the time. Tonopah is usually the worst weather spot but it’s overall an easy drive. Before I had a big fuel tank I’d fuel in tonopah and Beatty coming from reno. Nearly the whole state of nv is blm desert so you can Boondock almost the whole way down 95 if you’re going to split it into 2 days. I’ve been interested in staying at the goldfield rv park for years and poking around town for a day or two but am still yet to do it

And Hell to you too! HA HA! lots of miles for 1 day in the bus. Fuel not an issue.
Have done 395 before and yes that is a beautiful drive but maybe not in mid April over the 8100 ' pass etc.. Thanks for the info! TANDD
