Richmond, VA. to Martinsville, VA.

Hi all,
Looking for the best route to take from Richmond to Martinsville.
Google maps has me taking I 195 out of Richmond to 76 to 360.
76 is Powhite Parkway. Just wondering if anyone knows if this is the best route hauling a 26 ft. travel trailer. In my past experiences trucks/trailers are not allowed on parkways. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dean

We went that route north from South Boston last April in our 23’ motorhome. No restrictions I remember on the Powhite Parkway. I don’t recall how much exactly we got dinged on EZPass but I doubt it was more than a couple dollars. US360 is mostly a divided 4 lane to South Boston and then you can take US58 (also mostly divided 4 lane)west to Martinsville. Pretty easy drive IMO.

I drive that route a lot. I live a few miles north of Richmond.

I go to Danville by going down I-95 at the Atlee-Elmont exit, then I-295 to I-64 in Henrico west end. From I-64 I go down VA-288, then US-360 to South Boston where I get on US-58 to Danville.
