What are you driving?
Hey 88 is okay but depending on what you are driving so it may be a nice ride or not. I dragged my setup over it a few months ago and it was tolerable as a drive. Very pretty though. There are big rigs that drive it too but it's slow for them.
Going over the summit on Hwy 4 isn't an option if you are towing or in a MH.
50 is okay but 80 is just the easiest but the metro traffic on both sides (Reno and Roseville\Sac) is annoying
