It’s been a few years, maybe 2012. Has it improved?

My vote is I75 south of Detroit to the Ohio border. Our automatic windshield shade actually fell off last year as we were heading south to Florida.

Yes it has. Drove it eastbound in November and it was in good shape.

We drove the Lewis and Clark trail last year starting in Central Florida and then ended up back in Florida via Liberty Harbor in Jersey City. I would have agreed that I10 in Louisiana was the worst except we also drove Indiana. The complete trip was about 15K miles over 7 months and Indiana wins the bet for us.

What part of I-70 through Indiana is a toll road?

None of it. I live here. Personally, after driving the Yukon and Alaska, nothing fazes me.

I-81 South of Wilkes-Barre is unfit to drive on.

I-20 for a short run in downtown Shreveport is terrible.

I-65 north of Birmingham is like a washboard.

There are a lot of bad roads out there, but these are the worst I have experienced in our coach.

Regards.

Chuck

Actually, we just drove I-65 south as far as Montgomery in February. The roughest section was going thru Birmingham. The rest seemed pretty good.

I vote for I-39 north of Bloomington to the IL/WI state line (well not the I-90 section). They put up signs saying "Rough Road Next x Miles".

Last time I drove West on I-40 in Arizona was in 2017, it was ungodly rough on the flat ground, going up Flagstaff was like riding a bucking bronco.

I-75 is pretty much unusable around any city in Ohio and Michigan. If it isn't beating you to death it is under construction.

I haven't been on the Ohio or Pennsylvania Turnpikes since 2011 or so, but both roads were terrible then ... and you had to pay tolls!

I-93 North out of Manchester, NH up to the Notch is terrible road (been a few years on that one too though). Well, North of Boston all the way up to the Notch really.

EDIT: The combined stretch of I-64 and I-55 in Illinois is rough, and I-64 in East St Louis has been under construction since the Eisenhower administration.
