Went through 301 to 24 to 75 two days ago. Some construction and watch speed signs. Instead of jacksonville locals told to take first exit in Florida (AIA) follow AIA through Callahan and it runs into 301-24-75. Avoids traffic at Jacksonville which can be bad.

Being a Florida "cracker" and having traveled to and through Jacksonville frequently I agree with advising you to take 301. I would suggest you stay on 301 to State Hwy 326. 326 is about 5.5 miles South of the 441/301 split. You'll only be on 326 for maybe 5 miles to I-75. We go that route when we travel to Tampa area. Just watch you speed carefully through towns. When they say "speed limit" they really mean LIMIT. The small towns of Lawtey and Waldo are especially revenue huungry.
