I'm thinking of changing the route on our up coming trip. I was going to run US 191 from Vernal Utah to Green River Wyoming. Now I'm thinking of running Us 191 to St 44 at Red Canyon to Routes 43/414
Manila to Fort Bridger (Fort Bridger RV Camp). I checked it out on Google Maps and it looked OK, but I thought I'd check here first. We're in our 26" Class c towing a Ford Fiesta. This will be at the end of this coming June or so.

We drove UT44 from Manila to 191 at Red Canyon a couple of years ago. The road is good but be aware that around the Flaming Gorge area there are some pretty steep elevation changes. It's an absolutely gorgeous drive through some very interesting geological areas. If you are staying in the area, the CR1370 loop just south of Manila is a great drive in the toad, just not in the RV. I can't comment on WY 414 as we came into Manila from the east.

There's an 8% highway downgrade sign on UT 44 prior to coming down to the beautiful Sheep Creek Bay south of Manila. The last time we towed down it was in June 2024. It's definitely 8% due to we live off of an 8% grade in Northwestern Colorado, but few of our local grades are marked except one at 10%. Utah has much better marked highways. Just take your time.
Is the parking lot for the Sheep Creek overlook big enough for my 26ft Class c and Ford Fiesta towed? Will I be able to loop around? I tried Google earth but no luck. The photos of This area are incredible. Thanks for the heads up.
There's a long enough straight pull off at mile post 17 which is just prior to the Sheep Creek overlook. It will still provide a great overlook so that you'll won't need to even attempt making a left turn both entering and then exiting the Sheep Creek overlook across traffic coming up nearly floored around a turn and then back into the traffic coming down when you exit. The 8% downgrade is challenging enough without having to add a small loop view area turn around to it.
Routes 43/414 have no driving challenges or concerns. Just rural high desert badlands in Wyoming of which we've traveled across decades ago as a cut-off from point A in Manila to point B of I-80.
