Didn’t answer how many days between BV and Jackson nor wether N or S of town???

I was going to suggest BusSkipper’s route, even with a detour (40 miles each way) to Grand Lake for RMNP from Kremmling.
“The only suggestion to your drive out RT 24 is you might just look at this Route through SteamBoat - MAP - https://www.bing.com/maps?osid=6e6af...=2&form=S00027 - This is as gentile as it gets (IMHO) RT 91 is slowly down hill to I-70 and Breck - then RT 9 Follows the river to Kremmling - then a little Arid Desert to Rabbit Ears Pass - long gentle drive to the top then down into Steamboat - with a couple Camping options - Steamboat Lake SP - and StageCoach SP - to stay in as you get close - even Yampa if you keep going - https://cpw.state.co.us/placestogo/parks.“

As has been said - there is so much to see once you get into Western Colorado - Only wrong choice, IMHO, is to get out of the Mountains and back on the I's - couple reasons - Traffic is Heavy - Construction is everywhere - where there is not Construction - for the most part you will find you wish there was, as the roads generally need it (Exception is the Lexus Lanes - toll road 470 - the bill $$ will give you cause)

Same can be said for Wyoming - If you were to make the trip to Grand Lake - RMNP - you could take this route to see things many miss - MAP - https://www.bing.com/maps?osid=77481...=2&form=S00027 - Grand Lake to Snowy Range to Shshonni to Wind River Canyon to Thermopolis to Cody to Chief Joseph Highway to Beartooth Highway - through Yellowstone to Jackson Lake on to Jackson - ......................

No Wrong Choices - just missed Opportunities, Soooooo many options just never enough TIME.

Best of Luck,
