Route to Disney Land from Sacramento CA area

Hi,

Traveling from Northern CA (Sacramento) to Disney Land in Anihiem CA in a few weeks. I know 1-5 will do it but I'm going to take 2 days with wife and grandson (2 yrs) to get there....so wondering if 101 is a better route....is it easy to drive and have good stop over parks.........maybe more scenic? We have a 39 ft National Tropical Diesel. Thank yo for the input in advance.

101 is a good route for scenery, Flying Flags RV Park in Buellton is a good stop over park. Right off of 101. Solvang a Dutch themed city is about two miles away fron the park. I highly recommend you taking a trip to Solvang.
After you leave the campground you can take 101S to the 126E and get on
the 5 south near a theme park called Magic Mountain. The 5 S. will take you
right to Disney. Have a good trip.

101 is nice and is a bit cooler than 5.

Flying Flags RV Park in Buellton is a good place to stop as GOLDWINGER2 mentioned.

101 is the nicer drive the only issue I see is getting from Sac to 101. Don't think you want to drive through SF or 101 south to San Jose. If you want to take 101 I would take 5 to Los Banos and then cut across 152 and pick up 101 in Gilroy. Goldwinger2 suggestion to take 126 is a good idea. You don't want to deal with the interchange between the 101 and 405 in the San Fernando Valley busiest interchange in the US.
