I was there for 3 days around the 14th (two weeks ago). Wind got so bad my slide topper tore after being sucked off the tube. I had just got there was just putting out the slide when the wind kicked up. Luckily I had enough ratchet straps to hold it from billowing and tearing more.
Nothing else exciting happened though. No kid rescues, no canopies flying down the cliffs, no bighorn sheep. Nice and quiet and relaxing. But it was a good amount of campers out there, nearly every cliff side turn out was full with one or two vehicles.
The road in from the highway was crappy. Lots of potholes and divots. Much easier to see and avoid when its slightly wet out. When dry, those things are hard to see. The cliffside road is in pretty nice shape.
I saw a park ranger patrolling a couple times while I was there.
