Rv into Newark Airport

Hi all,

I need to pick up some friends at Newark airport NJ this weekend and was wondering if getting a 40' RV with 11.0' ht would be a problem.
Can any one help me please?

Cheers
Rod

Hey Oztraveller,

I have not been there in a few years, and when I was it was only in a car. However I remember the car rental busses being there! I would call the Port Authority Police and ask them they should know for sure! Sorry I don't have the #

Thank you...I did google the arrival area and it appears to be clear of bridges etc. I will try the authorities...sometimes they dont provide the right advise or are quick to say no when in fact it is ok.
Hoping to find someone that has done it.
thanks
Rod

Have only been thru there by car, but...

most of the arrival / departure areas are serviced by large tour busses and shuttles so, unless you were thinking of pulling into the parking garage, I'd say go for it.

I drive in and out of that airport all the time. There are no physical barriers that should cause you problems but the taxi's might not like how much space you are taking up. If you are using the Continental terminal (C) it will be an easy in and out but once off the airport property it will be similar to driving in NYC. Rapid lane changes will be difficult.

You might want to consider having your guests take the shuttle train to the rent a car area. There is lots of room there
