Talking RV road guide (specifically hwy 70 from west to east)

Greetings All,
I'm about to take a trip from Panguitch Lake in Utah to Gainesboro TN, one way. Mapping it out, it looks like 70 is the best way to go, but I have never travelled that route before, always took 40, but that was when we started out in Las Vegas. Does anyone know of a publication that details the elevations along 70..or any other highways, for that matter? I just want to be prepared.
If any of you have taken 70 from west to east I'd be much appreciative of your comments.

It's been a few years, but I can tell you that I-70 through the Colorado Rockies is some of the most scenic highway in the country. West to east you'll have a long but manageable upgrade approaching Vail Pass at about 10500 ft, then down to about 7500 or 8000 before climbing again to the Eisenhower Tunnel at about 11,300 or so, and then it's the looooong gradual downhill to Denver.

It's a lot of altitude, but the whole road meets Interstate standards, so no excessive grades, no scary drop offs or sharp hairpins.

Of course, that 250 miles of unbelievable scenery has a price, and that price is that after you pass Denver and head out onto the plains you've got 800 miles of Kansas and Missouri in front of you!

I just made the trip from Denver to Glenwood Springs and back in June. JFXG summed it up pretty well! Glenwood Canyon is amazing. Vail Pass is beautiful. Eisenhower is very cool. Coming east into Georgetown is about the worst part I can think of, and that is not all that bad. The road is very well taken care of, and lots of turnouts if needed.

Stop for lunch or dinner at Pug Ryans in Dillon (just before heading up to Eisnehower tunnel)...KILLER primerib!!!

That right lane for trucks going up to Eisenhower Tunnel was some of the roughest interstate I have ever seen.
