Sacramento, CA to Ft. Bragg, CA then North to Oregon Coast
Will be travelling from Sacramento, CA across to Ft. Bragg, CA via CA20 then north on 101 into Oregon and up to Lincoln City and then to Salem OR.
Any issues, I will be driving a Ford F250 Long Bed with 30 Ft. 5th Wheel.
Comments requested.

I've done it three times in my 35ft Class A pulling a Honda CR-V. Lots of turns and you have to watch any RV headed south that has EL MONTE RENTS painted on it. They tend to squeeze the white line. Other than that , it is a beautiful trip

Hwy1 north of Fort Bragg near Leggett, CA does have several switch backs and tight corners. I took that trip several years ago in a 28 foot motorhome and unless they have improved that stretch of the highway I wouldn't do it again. Hwy 20 to Fort Bragg was OK.

When I first drove 1 from Leggett south, it was in our first RV. Newlyweds in our new Toyota longbed pick up. Hated it. Too slow and twisty. Not to mention pokey RV's holding up traffic! Years later, in our 26' Class C, I did it again because I thought it could not be as bad as I remembered. It wasn't. It was worse! Last two times in a 32' Class A towing a Grand Cherokee, Fort Bragg was as far north on 1 as we took the RV. Once we left the rig in Willits & just did a day trip to the coast. Most people are going through the area with such a limited amount of time, that they are better off not taking 1 north of Fort Bragg. Unless there are specific campgrounds in that area where you want to spend an extended period of time, I wouldn't take the RV up that route. Doable? Yep. Enjoyable? Not for you or the people behind you.
