Safe Camp on 395N

Does any one have any suggestions for a safe place to stay around Alturas, CA on 395N? We're returning home to Central Oregon after a month in AZ & need a place to stay for a night. Thanks.

Have heard nothing but good things about this park. It is located a few miles south of Alturas, CA in Likely

We stayed at Likely. Was just going to be an overnight on the way back north. Ended up staying four nights to take a longer break.

We really like to stay at Likley Place. Have stayed many times on the way home from Oregon. Off the main road so nice and quiet at night. Has a cafe for breakfast & lunch. Also has a nice golf course.
Nothing else around except a bar on 395 but have not gone there.

Thanks so much for all your recommendations. We'll be staying there tomorrow night.
