Thank you! Appreciate the route info!

Also for use consider purchasing a GPS system for RV use. The GPS we use is the Garmin 770, other individuals will give you several other models/brands they use.
Just make sure you get one for RV, so you can set the height, weight, size of your rig. These will route you around low bridges, tunnels, etc....
Thank you! The information you shared is great! We do have a built in navigation but always like other sources to compare.

If you go the GA-17 route you'll pass fairly close to at least 12 COE and state parks between Thomson and Toccoa on the lakes. Any of them would be worth spending a couple of days or a couple of weeks.

Good evening
I live in Jax and I moved from Knoxville (40 minutes from the Smokies).
The easiest route is 95-26-40-441.

If I may--- take your time. There is so much to pull over and see- so do it. You will also only be a stones throw away from Ashville. Stop and see the Biltmore.

Coming out of Franklin NC north, there is a fairly decent grade for a couple of miles. Then down the other side until you get to Dillsboro is relatively steep with a few curves. Don't let speed get excessive coming down.

No problem. Also look at a phone app called RV PARKY. We use while on the road looking for a stop over.
