Salt Lake to Reno in late March 2015

Haven't been along that route before.
Any advisories from those who've been.
Lots of up and down? High passes etc?
Thx Rb

Mostly flat high desert for many miles. The weather, it just depends on what's coming in from the north. Occasional winds, cool nights. Pretty long drive. Don't remember exactly, but took over 6 hours.
