San Diego to Bakersfield

Taking off soon. Anyone driven the 5 to 57 to 210 back to the 5 lately? Any construction or other issues other than the usual traffic and monster pot holes?

TIA
J

if the sun is not up I take the 5 the entire way.

If the sun is up I take the 15 to the 91 to the 71 to the 210 to the 5 north.

Coming back I follow the same rules and routes.

That is the route I took a few times. I MUCH preferred 5 to 57 to 210. we left around 10am. Had a few slow downs on the 5, but 57 was nice and fast and smooth.

I've done the 5 to 57 too before but seems in the last 5 years the amount of traffic has tripled in LA and OC. Not that IE is any better either now...
