Seattle to Casa Grande AZ

I have driven the I5 to to CA 210 to I 10. I do like the road to Gila Bend from 10 To 8 bypassing Phoenix. My question is have the pavement on 5 improved in SO cal.?
If you have driven on 59 from Twin Falls to LV in the winter. It looks long and desolate. Is it safe? It is cold this time of year so I need to keep my View warm if I camp one night.
I would only drive this route if the weather is good for a few days. I am planning to leave on 11/23 and would watch the weather on any route. If Siskiyou pass is snow in then 101 becomes my route.

I don't see a 59 from Twin Falls, Idaho to Las Vegas, NV.

93 is there and it's a good highway in good weather. Fuel available in the small towns but they're spaced some distance so keep your fuel filled.
