SR 93 between Wickenburg and Kingman

Anyone have feedback or info on AZ SR 93 between Wickenburg and Kingman? We are hoping to head north and try yet another new route if its a decent ride/drive

twogypsies -- we are heading out of Tucson to Alaska and have gone west to Vegas and North thru Flagstaff up to Page then on to Utah. We found we actualy make a little better time going west becasue the roads are so much flatter and it only adds about 100 miles (if that) so the time and ease of drive is sometimes worth it. Looks like only 1 area (between Wickenburg and Wikiup with enough grade to get added to the Mountain Guide book.

What is your memory of that area? Oh and how about north of Kingman towards the dam in Householder Pass? Pretty slow going?

We've taken 93 all the way up through Nevada, Idaho, Montana and crossing at Roosville. It's a beautiful drive.... in good conditions.

I hope you have contingent plans. Right now, if you enter Montana you have to quarantine for 2 weeks. Canadian borders are closed unless necessary. In reading posts from Alaskans, things aren't going to be open as usual. Denali Nat'l Park - ?? I know it would be an extremely difficult decision to make but please rethink this trip for this year. On a plus side, there won't be a lot of traffic and fuel may be lower. If you're up to boondocking a lot this won't be an issue. Then again, things might change within the next week on a positive side. Good luck!
