Stuck in Indianapolis

Burrrrr. Waited too long to hit the road. Was supposed to leave for Florida today but got 3" of snow.. Clear tomorrow, Thursday, but as bad luck would have it, snow is predicted south of Indy for Friday in Tennessee. Nooooo! Delay until Saturday and it gets "iffy" in terms of snow but now the winds are 10-20 mph. I hate wind.. If I could just find a window to make it to Macon, GA I would be home free!
This wont happen next year!

We came back into Indy to help our daughter with the house. Had to drive the car because no camp grounds are open.
Basically the wether sucks here right now. As stated more snow and the low the other night was -1 F... That's -18 C for you Canadians.

Cross your fingers for a tail-wind that speed. Actually you will not have a issue with that wind speed, just slow down some if it causes you steering difficulty.
It's better to do less miles per day than stay in this cold.

Currently 70 degrees in Big Pine Key, FL! But it's going to be windy through much of next week. So even if you get away from the cold, you won't get away from the wind!

Safe travels!

True Ray, and the winds were from the north.. turning negligible this Sunday when we plan to bolt. Weather looks great all the down through our destination in the Tampa area.

Due to lack of vacation schedules and having a teen still at home, we can't break out of Indiana until spring break. Just hunkered down for the winter tis year but come late March, Matlacha here we come. Found a coze little park with only 10 spots with nothing much to do. Exactly as planned...do nothing! I hope your window stays open long enough for you to escape. Safe travels.

I-75 should be clear very swiftly when it snows. I can advise you on how to do it.. Hit the road before the next snow and when it starts getting white and scary. FIND PARKING for the overnight.. Do not charge water systems.. instead carry jerry cans or gallon bottles inside the RV where the furnace can keep 'em liquid.

True story: I did this in 2006 going up to Salt Lake City.> Ran right into a blizzard. Found parking, had dinner/breakfast and watched the TV while having breakfast.. News was all about the cars lining the ditch.

News was not kidding, Starting about half a mile north of the enterance ramp.. of course by the time I hit the road (After breakfast) the road was clear and dry thanks to Snow Plows R us (The Highway commission).
