Texas route 83 (North of 16 to Laredo)

We have a 39' Class A with a Jeep Wrangler toad. RV Trip Wizard is trying to keep me off this section of highway (basically from Falcon Lake State Park to Zapata). From Falcon Lake SP it has us going back south on 83 to FM 649 North to Texas 2687 (Chihuahua Rd) to get back onto 83 about a half hour north of the campground where we started. The route it wants us to take as about an hour and a half.

Is there a weight or height restriction on this section of road? I've checked TxDMV Laredo district and don't see anything that would restrict me going that way. Can anyone clue me in?

Thanks

Traveled many times with 40'er and toad. No problem. Haven't been across this year.

Thanks for the response but I highly doubt that RV Trip Wizard would re-route our trip based on a local traffic accident. As a matter of fact we are not making that trip until February and the dates we would be using are locked into the trip we are planning.

I played around with the trip planner a bit and entered a waypoint at the north end of the divided section of highway 83 north of the campground. It still re-routed us even though the waypoint was only 1.9 miles from the campground road entrance. I then moved the waypoint a bit closer to the driveway to the "Rio Bravo Wind Farm" which is 1.4 miles from the campground entrance. This time it had us go the entire distance to Laredo BUT with the following warning "Route goes through a potentially dangerous road. This may be due to a waypoint being dragged through a tunnel or a bridge. Check local driving regulations before proceeding on this route".

I love RV Trip Wizard and have used it extensively for almost 5 years of trip planning but sometimes it does screwy things like this. Google satellite view shows this as a flat, very straight section of highway with no bridges or tunnels. We'll go straight up 83 after we leave Falcon Lake SP and I'm sure that we will be fine.
