My toad is a 24’ trailer with 2 - 4 seater OHV’s. One (Orion Reeper) is kinda street legal but would be difficult to drive 100+ miles to Pagosa. Ended up getting the tire fixed and headed on my way. Less than one mile later the fuel lift pump decided to die. I actually made it to South fork after changing the fuel filters but 6 miles south it just gave up. Had a friend come from Durango and we disconnected the trailer (a story by itself) and drove to Durango. Had the RV towed to Pagosa ($1300 via trailer) and flew home sunday. Driving back to Durango tomorrow to get trailer, then to Pagosa to get RV. August its off to Florida where hope to fare batter.... BTW, lake city to silverton, Ouray and back to Lake city was a blast. Did it 4 times in the RZR.

Keep it Quiet about Lake City and that side of the San Juan's - It's Heaven, and not totally discovered and overrun with Crowds YET!

That is changing and the shear Beauty of the area is, well just Amazing - These images are a small sample - https://www.flickr.com/photos/michae...n/photostream/.

While you may have better luck in Florida - will be hard to Beat Colorado.

JMHO,
