Texas Wildflowers

We've been out the last two weeks chasing the spring bird migration and we've experienced the beauty of both the birds and the wildflowers. As someone put it the other day, the flowers look like a fairy land. We have been as far south as Padre Island and we're now it the Texas hill country near Johnson City. Tomorrow we are planning to drive the Fredricksburg, Llano, Kerrville loop.

As a side note, I recently bought a signal booster for my cell and air card and wow what a difference it made. My cell service improved from "searching to no service" to three bars. My air card isn't DSL but its way better than dial up.

If you have an opportunity get out and see the wildflowers.

Well, please take some panoramic pics of those purty little flowers, Jim, & email 'em to me. I've gotta build the database for the header photos somehow.

One of the best Wildflower seasons for a while. There are Bluebonnets places I don't remember seeing Bluebonnets before. Many of our yards here in my quiet neighborhood in SA are covered with Buttercups and Bluebonnets. There is one field south of SA on 281 going to Corpus that is solid blue.

What kind of signal booster did you get? I have a Wilson antenna that works ok on air card but I still seem to find places with very poor service. I haven't used it on the cell phone because I usually end up walking around outside looking for a signal.

I'm using a dual band Wilson booster. Call them and they can tell you exactly what you need.

Coach is in the shop for dash AC, but hope to be on the road by Thursday or Friday. Might just see you in Kerrville if you are still there.

We just left F'burg at noon after staying 2 nights at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park (50 amp - full connections @ $25./nite) This AM we did State 965 to Enchanted Rock (yes the old guy made the top) and flowers were unbelieveable going and coming!
