"The Best"

Received an email today regarding the name change of RV Trip Wizard to RV Life Trip Wizard. In part it reads:

"We’ve changed our name to RV LIFE Trip Wizard!

RV Trip Wizard is now RV LIFE Trip Wizard. It’s still the world’s best RV-specific Trip Planner, just with a slight change to our name and URL."

Just wondering who got to vote on it being the "world's best ..." !!??!!

Good question. And not really sure what the deal is with the name change either. Does adding LIFE make it better in some way?

Yes it makes it a great deal better in the eyes of RV Life's marketing folks, it aligns the name with their "corporate identity". For the rest of us it's just a non-sensical name change that doesn't change anything one whit. It's amazing to me how companies spend millions and millions of dollars to change their corporate name/identity when all it does is confuse most of their customers.

Its all about branding and how deep you can bury who really owns the company / services you're using, I suppose.
