Things to do in Carthage MO

We won a weeks free camping at Carthage, and am wondering what there is to do in that area? I have seen the bill boards for the Precious Moments Museum ( not high on my must see list.....) but always enjoy finding new things. We have a toad, and can travel 50-60 miles to see anything neat.
Thanks for your advise, and recommendations.

Carthage is on the original Rt 66, and they have a Rt. 66 Drive-In Theatre you can visit in your Toad.

Trip Advisor doesn't have a real flush list.

You could go up to Branson, but I wouldn't recommend the duck boats.

Just enjoy your free campsite!
