Torrey UT -> Albuquerque

We're looking to get from Torrey to Albuquerque too. We came va Moab (191N -> I70W -> 72S -> 24E).

We're most interested in good roads and making good time.
24 -> 95 -> 191 -> 64 -> 491 -> 40 looks to be about 489 Miles

24-->70->191 about 554 miles

24W->72->70-191 about 568 miles

I'd really like to use the 489 mile route but if bad roads are going to make the drive about the same amount of time then we'll opt for better roads.

We're aware of the construction on 24 between Torrey and the Capitol Reef entrance....

Thanks for any suggestions/info!

Have not done Moab-ALB in a few years, but in my semi, this is route I would take. Most semi trucks from the Salt lake area take this route to ALB. Just an FYI.

Thank for the feedback.

We ended up doing:
24 -> 95 -> 191 -> 64 -> 491 -> 40

We found the end of 191 and end of 64 to be a bit bumpy but not bad enough to avoid.

There are some steep grades but no super narrow roads. We were in 2nd gear in some places going up and 2nd or 3rd going down with engine brake on high. 40' Diesel coach.

It's a very scenic route and if we do it again we will probably try to explore Glenn Canyon some.
