Good catch. I forgot about that.
A phone call or two might be prudent before launching for the Continental Divide.

I hadn't heard of reservations needed to enter the park. Interesting. It might be a good idea for the major NPs to curb crowds even after the virus is gone (hopefully). It involves a lot of planning.

It appears that unless you are a resident of Larimer, Grand or Boulder County you must obtain a Timed Entry Permit for $25 to drive through the park on Trail Ridge Road UFN.

Commuter Permit

Those living in the 3 counties need the Commuter Permit which just allows driving through the park via Trail Ridge Rd.... no stopping or recreation. It costs $25.

"Subject to eligibility, the Commuter Permit is valid for three years from date of purchase for an administrative fee of $25. The Commuter Permit is valid only for non-recreational commuting over Trail Ridge Road and does not authorize recreational use in the park". If they want to recreated they have to buy the Annual Pass.

We volunteered in that park and doing so now would be a lot of checking for proper permits. Not fun.

Let me stir the POT - Does the senior Pass cover this?

What does the National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass cover?
National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass Program. ... Each pass covers entrance fees at national parks and national wildlife refuges as well as standard amenity fees at national forests and grasslands, and at lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Reclamation.

So are Us old farts in or out - Says it covers Entrance fees - so if any of the "Seniors" has gone what do they say?

So between my Golden Age and My Senior PASS - what is the Story? -
