Traveling from Riverside, CA, through Waco, TX then on to Nashville, TN.

We leave late Sept. Travel for 3 to 4 days to Waco. Then head northeast through AR to TN. We'll be there for up to three weeks then taking a little more northern and direct route home. Would appreciate any insights from those who had made this trip.

My advise is go I-10 East till I-20 splits off. I would stay on I-20 to Fort Worth then go south on I-35W to Waco. When you are done in Waco go north on I-35E and follow the south loop (635) to I-30 to LittleRock. Then pick up I-40 to Nashville, TN.
I have done both sides from Fort Worth but not all at once. Have a great trip.

Thanks to all for your input. We are putting together the trip options through Texas, looks like we'll be on the 10 to the 20 then down the 35 into Waco.

Nice COE campgrounds bear Waco. We stayed there earlier this year.

When you leave Wako here is my favorite stop going East on I-30. It is a good first day of travel. Downtown Riverside RV Park, 250 S Locust St, North Little Rock, AR 72114, downtownriversidervpark.com, (501) 340-5312.
It is run by the city and is a Passport America park. From there it is only about 350 miles to Nashville.
Just a reminder, when you leave Waco take I-35E to 635 East and follow it to I-30 less traffic.

While in Waco, checkout the Dr. Pepper museum. It is very well done.

Don't miss the Mammoth National Monument--best attraction in Waco. Also the Texas Ranger Museum. Both are superior to Dr Pepper.

Also concur on 2 COE parks, Midway and Airport parks. Both are very nice and on the water so they may cool down late in Sept. but no promises for day highs below 90 degrees.
