Not sure if construction is done, but go to the WDOT website and pull up the information.

A lot of repairs will start after the frost is out of the ground along that route.
Check conditions close to your departure date at,

MS S&T doesn't show any construction. Go and enjoy. That is a pretty drive altho depending on your tastes, you might think it boring.

I think many states are using 511.com It has been a while since I have used it but I think you can navigate from there.

Traveler Information - Roadway Cameras

This is the Montana example, plenty of information including cameras. You can call for road information and recorded messages. do the same for the Dakotas depending on your route.

Great road nice drive I'll be doing it myself later in the year.

Don't know about construction, but you can check each states website for construction info. We workamped in Montana for 3 summers and 2 out of the 3 years there was a big snowstorm on the Bozeman pass around May 1. MT has cameras up there so check for snowstorms in MT.

Roadway on I-90 is clear and dry

Safetravelusa.com

I use it all the time. It is pretty up to date for SD. There are cameras available too.
