Thanks all. Great inputs. I'm sure I'm not the only one benefiting from this discussion. I know I'm doing a lot of zigging and zagging, but this trip is a combination of special events, special people and special destinations, and I'll be danged if the special people are going to get pushed out to another time because their locations are not in a straight line with the rest of this itinerary. So we'll gladly do the miles. I love driving this MH anyway, and for me and my DW, doing a western swing like this provides us with beautiful views and vistas that we just can't get back home.
