US 395 thru Oregon

I am thinking about taking US 395 from Pendleton south to the California border. I've read one post in another thread that this can be a stressful drive. Without knowing anything about the road or the person that did the post, thought I'd ask for others opinions and experience.
I've driven to Alaska twice and Hwy 101 both north and south from Forks WA to south of Eureka CA. Also have driven Hwy 12 westbound across White Pass so have experience with twisty turning roads and climbing/descending passes. I'll be in a 36-foot Class A.
Thank-you for helping with this.

Have a good trip! It is a scenic mountain road, you have taken the training.
Have driven many times in every thing from a MG to 40' DP with Toad, never felt stressed.

I travel the 395 semi annually from Los Angeles to Oregon. It is the only way north in my opinion. The 5 is garbage. Done in a 37' gasser and a 40' pusher.

I did it towing my trailer for part of it, Ukiah to Mt Vernon. It is fine just can be a little slow going at time. The scenery was fantastic. Go slow and enjoy the trip.

If I remember correctly, it's a good two lane, nice and smooth but with no shoulders. You could go miles without finding a place to pull off the pavement.
