US 412 in Arkansas
Hi all, We are just North of the Dallas, TX area heading to Branson, MO. Google Maps show a stretch of road (US 412) from Fayetteville, AR to Harrison, AR that I am not familiar with. Can anyone tell me if it is suitable for a 35' motorhome towing or is it worth going up I-35 to I-44 and back down to Branson from Springfield. It shows the same travel time but about 40 - 50 miles further going up and around.

Hwy 412 is a 2 ;lane road and twisty. With your rig, I would be tempted to take I44 to Hwy 65 south to Branson.

I live in northwest Arkansas and have traveled both ways to Branson. If it were me, I'd go up 75 through Sherman, taking the highway through Atoka, OK (I think Hwy. 69), then take I-40 in Checotah to I-49 north, then to I-44 to Springfield and down hwy. 65 to Branson. 412 is shorter, but in a motorhome, the interstate is no slower and you don't have to worry about twists and slow traffic on the part of 412 that's not 4 lane. I don't know what part of North Dallas you are coming from but we have family in Frisco and that's the route we've ended up determining is best when in our motorhome with toad.

We are leaving this morning and taking the Interstate. Thank you all for helping us make the decision......
