US-84 Natchez to Opp
We recently did this stretch and it was fairly pleasant.
Heading east out of Natchez got hilly and a bit winding after a while, then ridge-and-valley before flattening out in south-central Alabama.
The road surface was mostly a bit rough; not bone-shaking bust-your-springs rough but just moderate bouncing and banging along.
Of particular note was the lack of traffic. We were rarely passed by anything and we rarely passed anything. It's as if the road was built just for us.
