US-93 in Arizona

Planning a trip from Phoenix, AZ thru Las Vegas north to Idaho. (Am using social distancing - wife is in living room. )
Can anyone comment on the condition of US-93 from Wickenburg north to Kingman, AZ and on to the Las Vegas area?

Was a good road the last time I traveled it, but have heard that the condition nowadays is a bit rough.

I can't comment on sections of your route , but the new bridge over the Colorado River can present issues on windy days; some days over heights are restricted; , road it's self Vegas / Kingman was fine. ( Two years ago )

There's always I-10 to Quartzsite, then 95 north.....came thru that way 2 weeks ago and was good the whole way into Vegas.....most construction around Vegas is over now...

I made the Roundtrip from Kingman to Vegas twice last fall on US-93.

Yes the pavement has some rough stretches, that are more noisy- but not jarring.

You'll find it best to stay in one lane (or the other) for long stretches, to reduce the road noise.

Kind of a no-man's land on that route, though it offers spectacular views when you approach
Lake Mead Recreational Area.

93 is fine. I travel it all the time, both in our Class-A and our passenger car. There's some construction to widen the road, but nothing major. It's the fastest way from the Phoenix area to Vegas.

US-93 is fine from Wickenburg to I-40. 4 lanes half the time, 2 lanes the rest. I just drove that stretch in February in a road car, did not seem rough, but there are stretches where there is a lot of road noise. That bridge bypassing the Hoover Dam and the new loop bypassing Boulder City in Nevada were game changers, took 45 minutes off the trip from Vegas to Phoenix easy. I wish they would hurry up with the plans to turn that whole Vegas-Phoenix stretch along US-93 into Interstate 11.

Last time I drove the stretch of US-95 from the Nevada/California state line South to I-40 the road was complete crap, in particular there is a RR crossing not long before you get to I-40 that was unbelievable. This was about 10 years ago, so things very well could have changed, but my preference going south out of Vegas ever since has been I-15 or US-93 to avoid that stretch of US-95.
