Going to go to Grand Canyon, then up 89 to Bryce Canyon. Upon leaving Bryce Canyon, plan to head over to I-15. Originally going to go on Utah 20, but am thinking about Utah 14, as it looks more scenic. Mileage difference is about 20 miles - More concerned about the road. From what I have read here, Utah 14 is a good road with some "must see" places. Have not seen anything about Utah 20.

I've been over Utah 14 3 times in a motorhome (once in a 38' DP) and found the road steep and curvy from Cedar Breaks NM west. Your exhaust brake will get a workout but it's certainly doable. Cedar Breaks is worth the stop although it sometimes doesn't open until late May because of snow. Don't know your itinerary after Bryce but Utah 12 and Capital Reef NP are worth the side trip.

Thanks - Plan was to go across 14 or 20 to I-15, then down to Zion and then Vegas, Kingman and then back east of I-40. Been reviewing this and now think we will do Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, then backtrack to Sedona for a few days before heading east. Think that trying to hit all four (Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion and Sedona) all in a 12-14 day trip would be pushing it to much to enjoy it all.

We've toured this area a number of times and have some favorite things to see and do. Some depend on what time of year you're going, I'm assuming after June 1.
Canyon DeChelley Nat. Mon. (NW AZ) 1-2 days
Antelope Canyon (Near Page, AZ) 1/2 day
Bryce Canyon NP (Navaho Loop Hike) 1-2 days
Zion NP (Watchman CG, if you can get in) 1-2 days (Angels landing Hike) Note: don't be scared out by the Tunnel at Zion (been through it a number of times, No problem)
If you do come down I-15 towards Hurricane, stop at Kolob Canyon (it's the NW part of Zion easily accessable from I-15.
This is a beautiful part of the USA-a real contrast to Las Vegas. Let me know if I can help with other questions.

You didn't say exactly where you were starting from. If coming from Texas on I-10 or I-40 I would suggest stopping at Flagstaff and using your Toad to see Sedona and the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, then I-40 to Kingman and US-93 to Vegas (Hoover Dam) and I-15 north to UT-9 via Hurricane to Zion. You could continue on UT-9 to 89 or back to I-15 and over using 14 or 20 to 89. Then do Bryce Canyon and down 89 to Lake Powell and 89 all the way back to Flagstaff.
