Utah 89 & Utah 9? Looking for advice

Is 89 From I70 at Sevier, UT south to Page AZ OK for Big Rig Motorhomes (45' DP & TOAD 70' Overall)?

We are also trying to figure out a route from Mount Carmel Junction to Hurricane Junction. RV Trip Wizard is routing us along Utah 9 but looking at the map, it looks like there are some pretty hairy switchbacks going into Springdale.

Appreciate any advice and tips!

I-70 to 89 south is an excellent highway for big rigs all the way down to the Arizona border.

You do not want to take Hwy 9 from Mt. Carmel to Hurricane - tunnels and steep downhill into Zion NP. Instead, continue south on 89 into Arizona at Fredonia then pick up AZ389 which becomes UT59 taking you into Hurricane. A pretty drive and no big hills.

Thanks SO much for the Great Advice!

Our son went to Alabama (BS in Nursing and going for his Doctorate in Nursing while he works as a traveling Nurse - AMAZING how much can be taken online - even before COVID!)

I retired out of Huntsville AL (thus BamaBob for where I worked and where our son and all our money went to college ) I actually got my PhD from University of Georgia

I am really surprised that RV Trip Wizard was going to take us back down 89 and then on to 9 to Hurricaine! -- Thanks for saving our Bacon twogypsies!
