Wanna Go, Went, Will Again
To prepare for FT, I am researching a list of places across our great country that we want to see. I would love to find an app, program or online site that would let us plot "red pins" for where we want to go, "green pins" for where we've been, and "yellow pins" for where we've been and want to go back. Then be able to look at the entire NA continent and begin trip planning. I would also like to be able to attach links, notes and scanned documents to each "pin" to click and see more information about that site.
Anyone know of any software that will do this?

Just stumbled across this Youtube about RV Trip Wizard, might be something that you could use.

Susan-
Google Maps allows you to make your own maps. I keep my past trip info there (tracks, places stayed, places visited), but there's no reason you can't create a map in advance of a trip.
You can share your Google maps with other folks. I'll send you a private message that tells how I could share one of our maps with you, so you can see how they look and work.

Susan,
I use RV Trip Wizard exclusively for our trip planning. One of the features of Trip Wizard is the ability to export your trip in Excel format. I take the excel spread sheet and delete several columns that I do not use such as Lat/Long, cost, ETC and add a "comments" column. Then as we travel I fill in the comments column mainly aimed at the CGs but could expand to include area. You could also easily color code the first, CG column to meet your requirements AND I screen print the Trip Wizard map and add it to the end of the trip printout. I keep all of our previous trips and then refer to them when planning future trips, referring back to the CG comments column! Can't tell you how many times it has saved me from making the same mistake twice!! I've attached a sample for you to look at.

Check out: How To Use The Map Plus App To Plan RV Trips
Then check out: www.myscenicdrives.com
I always use the 2nd one. The first one seems a bit more complex. I think you'll find MyScenicDrives a good resource for what you want use. And you won't have to pay any fees!!!
