Wanted: trip info Colo Springs into Livingston.

We will be leaving Colo Springs (Co) headed into Livingston, tx in about 2 weeks. Plan on heading in Raton NM, then thru Amarillo and SE into Livingston. Will be driving a reasonable new to me 43 ft Diesel pusher. Not to worried about Raton pass but am concerned about actual best route for a big rig thru Texas yet avoiding big cites like Dallas, etc.

Info and suggested campgrounds appreciated.

Thanks.

Lee

I go to Houston quite often and go on 287 thru Lamar Colorado-flat that way.Route does go thru Ft Worth on I35,take it in the off rush hour.I35 at Waco(Hillsboro) is the worst, been working on this road for 20 years. At Waco catch hwy 6 to Navsota. You can take hwy 90 to Livingston or 105 further south to Conroe.
We are in Magnolia Tx now-have been since December.Cold winter but in the 70's now.Nice
