Wichita Falls, TX to Monahans, TX

Looking for best route for a Class A towing Jeep from Wichita Falls, TX to Monahans, TX. Would prefer to avoid Abilene if possible. And I realize I will need to watch the weather. Thanks.

Take 277 to I 20. It will bypass Abilene on the West side. Almost all of it is 4 lane or 3 lane with alternate side passing lanes. There are bypasses around all the little towns except Anson. Take a right on I 20.

Alternate is to take 180 west at Anson until you are north of Monahans. Two lane road but a good drive.
