Yosemite to Las Vegas

We have a 45' RV. What's the best way to get from Yosemite to Las Vegas? We also tow a pick up but can drive it separately when necessary. Many CA roads are 45' max length.

Shortest route is likely out the east gate of Yosemite (if you dare) then start driving south on 395.

Going out any west gate will be longer. Be aware that highway 140 is closed and the fire is within 3.5 miles of highway 41, so 41 might get closed soon. That will leave only highway 120 east and west gates.

It's the "if you dare" part that I was wondering about. We have not travelled through Tioga Pass yet so didn't know if that was really an option with our MH.

Here is a link to use in assessing the safety and air quality in Yosemite. https://www.nps.gov/yose/blogs/fireinfo.htm

Good Sam Trip wizard says the Tioga pass is an okay drive. I would take it in my 37ft DP with tow car.

Toga is no big deal. The east side of Sonora is a whole different thing....

Once on 395 go south to 58, 58 to the 15. Avoid Friday afternoon and evening.

We're living with the smoke now. We're scheduled to be here until September 30. Although we haven't been to the Tioga area yet we heard there were too many tight curves for a 45 footer. Thanks for your help.
