Your Favorite Source to Pick a CG

What is your single favorite reference source when making a decision to pick a campground?

If you have separate resource favorites (a) at home and (b) while on the road headed somewhere, please list both.

This should be fun!

RV Park Finder, this is an app for iPhone.

If you are not looking for an app RV Park Reviews :: Home or .net, either works

I also ask this forum for recommendations. Has been very helpful.
Another thing I do, is under favorites on my computer I have a list of states I may visit and when I see a campground mentioned here that looks nice I google it then save it under the state. Then I can reference it when traveling.

Often we start out a trip with a plan, and then deviate from the plan along the way.

When planning, I use campgroundreviews.com. I can then easily plug into my S&T and make sure that I don't plan a 1200 mile day

Along the way when we find some reason to deviate, I use my iphone and 2 apps to see what is around, followed by campgroundreviews.com

The 2 apps that I use on the iPhone is All Stays Camp & RV and RVParking.com (RV Parks). All Stays is cheap, and rvparking.com is free. Both use GPS to show you what is near, and then rvparkreviews tells you if it is worth going to.

1. Passport America directory.
2. P/C version of the Trailer Life CG directory.

Trailer Life Directory to get an idea of what is out there, and then RVParkReviews for more input. My only concerns about RVPARK Reviews are: 1. You will not find all campgrounds listed, which is of course natural, if no one has submitted a review. 2. Have to remember that these reviews are very personal in nature, which would seem great until one thinks about the fact that what pleases you might not please another. So, read the review, don't just go by the rating. See if the positives are positives for you and vice versa. I also enjoy checking out the other reviews that a reviewer has made. Sometime you may find that the writer really doesn't like anything, or again, vice versa.
